Lighthouse to Lighthouse Regatta Recap

Burnham was on the road this past weekend traveling to Norwalk, CT for the 19th annual Lighthouse to Lighthouse Race and East Coast Surfski Championships. It was a beautiful day at Shady Beach with great friends & competitors rowing and paddling all type of watercraft. The conditions for the 7 & 14 mile courses were excellent. A big shout out to Gary Williams for his good nature & safety conscious efforts in running this race, which went off without a hitch. Following the racing was a memorable party on the beach with great music, food and beer.

Many thanks also to Gary for his great endorsement of our Burnham Custom Surfski covers during the awards ceremony. It was seconded by Pam Boteler, world famous paddler & President of Women Can International, who is on her third custom Burnham Surfski cover. Carin and I chatted throughout the day with Braca-Sport Paddle & Oar rep, Chris Chappell, fastpaddlers.com, and his wife Leslie, our web guru. Keep an eye on our website -- thanks to Leslie, it's always changing. Carin really appreciated Chris’s steering tips prior to the race. It was also nice to see Jim Hoffman & Ray Fusco of Ocean Paddlesports East ,thanks for liking our slings!

We also finally met longtime customer, Wally Houghton. Wally was one of our first custom Surfski cover customers after owning both Maas Aero & Maas 24 rowing shell covers. Wally, thanks for your continued business over the years! We’re looking forward to making your new Epic 2X cover.

See you @ the next regatta!

Cheers,  Peter
