I bought a Burnham lowboy approximately two years ago. Loved the design and Velcro strap. Last month while adjusting my boat the weld on the leg snapped. I wrote Burnham an email but got no response. Ended up buying it again but keeping my fingers crossed that it holds up this time.
We have more space in the back of our SUV than with homemade wooden chocks. Plus no more splinters. Assembly and dis-assembly is with a standard 7/16 that every rower has handy. The integrated tie down is a nice feature too. The set I received do NOT have a hinge like some of the ones pictured and instead use a single bolt which must be removed for compact storage and transport.
